Can you tell I love participating in memes and hops? I love it because it is such a great way to learn more about yourself and other book lovers.
Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer hosts this hop. Today's question is:
What is your guilty pleasure read?
Well, anyone that knows me knows that the books I read are usually either dark, scary, suspenseful, or lend themselves to be about topics that many may not want to read about. True crime, suicide, bullying, etc...My favorite authors are Stephen King, Karen Marie Moning, Anne Rice, Jodi Picoult, Anne Rule...you get the general idea. But, what many people might not know is that I will read anything and everything. And, another one of my favorite authors, and someone I consider my guilty pleasure read is Debbie Macomber. Why do I consider her my guilty pleasure? She is so easy to read and I love her character and plot development. It is outside of my norm a little, but I really love her books. Don't get me wrong, I'm not all dark and dreary, lol! I can't wait to see what you say your guilty read is!
Good morning Tracee. Visiting you through Book Blogger Hop.

Nothing wrong with those dark issues to talk about, can be meaty reading! Have read a few of Jodi Picoult and like Karen Moning Higlander series! Which aren't dark, but don't like her darker series. I thoroughly enjoy Debbie Macomber, just reading through her Blossom St books.
ReplyDeleteHopping along.
What a beautiful blog. I LOVE your blog name too....very clever.
ReplyDeleteYour blog sure isn't dark or scary. :) Good answer, though.
Happy Hopping!!

My Blog Hop Answer
Oh, I LOVE your blog's name, as well as the sentence underneath! I completely understand -- I'm very "shelf-ish" with my books, too. In fact, I stopped lending books to people years ago, because I'd either never get them back, or get them back in less than pristine condition.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do love vampires and werewolves, they have to be of the romantic variety, as in The Twilight Saga (which I totally ADORE!). I also love romantic ghost stories. So, no REALLY scary reads for me! But different readers have different tastes, so of course you should read what you really enjoy.
I read a Debbie Macomber novel some time back, and I can see why you like her. I've got to read more of her books, since I'm a HUGE romance fan!
New GFC follower. HAPPY READING!! :)
P.S. I also love the little girl peeking out from between the pages of a book. Beautiful header and blog design!! :)
